A new website for the city

City services, departments, and the Charter's rules, now in one place and in plain language.

The city has a new website. It brings everything the city does together in one place, written in plain language, with the Charter behind every rule.

What’s new

  • City services, explained. Each service, from citizenship to farming, has its own page that says what to do, who to contact, and the rules that apply.
  • Every department and office. Each one has a page showing what it handles, who leads it, and where to find it. Start with Government.
  • The Charter, cited. Where a page states a rule, a small number links to the section of the Charter or the Act it comes from.
  • A guide for visitors. Visit covers the city’s landmarks, its museums, and what to know before you arrive.
  • Your portal. Claim your Citizen ID, apply for licenses and permits, see your account, and apply to serve the city, all from the portal.
  • Search. Use the search box on the homepage to find any page, service, or notice.
