New Philadelphia Express runs the city’s mail and postage. The city funds it as needed.1

Your mailbox

NPX gives every citizen a mailbox. Only you and NPX may open it, or the Department of Criminal Investigations with a warrant.1

Opening someone else’s mailbox, or any other NPX mail receptacle, without lawful authority is a Class D crime.2

Work for NPX

Any citizen can apply to the Interim City Council to join NPX. The Council can turn down an application on reasonable grounds, and you can appeal that decision in court.1

Postmaster General

The Postmaster General runs and oversees the postal service, and prosecutes cases on its behalf. The Postmaster General may keep an office at NPX Headquarters.1

Private mail services

Any other postal service, and everyone who works for it, needs approval from the Department of Criminal Investigations or the Interim City Council.1

Campaign mail

A candidate can pay NPX $25 for a citywide mail campaign. NPX delivers a package to every eligible voter, using supplies the campaign provides.3

Post offices

Breaking into a post office, or any building used as one, to steal from it is a Class D crime.4
