City Hall has been the center of city government since it was built in late 2018. It stands on the hill at the south side of the old town, placed there to bridge the old town and the towers of downtown. It is the public face of the city government, and its doors are open at all hours.1

The renovation

Around 2023 the exterior was renovated to suit the stature of a modern city government. Little of the original facade remains, but the original entrance doors and signage are still in place.

The Skybridge

The Skybridge was built before the renovation. It gives you some of the best views of the old town, and it connects City Hall to many other entrances.

238 Hoover Street

Across the street, 238 Hoover Street holds the offices of the executive officers of the city’s departments and offices. Governor TCraft777 designed and commissioned it.

The suggestion box

City Hall keeps an anonymous suggestion box, where citizens can leave ideas for the government and its programs.1

The Legislature is the home of the City Congress. Its site had been a sand quarry for nearby citizens before it was cleared for construction. Construction began at 7:25:05 PM on April 3, 2020, and the exterior was finished at 2:28:24 PM on April 5. The interior, designed for the Congress’s work, was completed at 3:06:14 PM on May 2, 2020.

The building keeps a library with the text of every statute in the Charter.2

The Entrance Hall

The Entrance Hall is built to show the valor of the city it serves. Its centerpiece is a statue built around the first Dragon Head collected from the End dimension. The statue wears a sporty suit of New Philadelphian diamond armor and carries a shovel, for the construction of a better future.

The Rotunda

The Rotunda is the literal center of city lawmaking. Its main staircase gives quick access to the second floor, and doubles as a place for legislators to address the public.

The Chamber of Convention

The Chamber of Convention is where the City Congress convenes. Its local calcite and copper accents represent the diversity of the city’s architecture. While the Congress is in convention, recess included, the building is closed to the public.3

Grandma Piglet Executive Office Building

Address
230 New York Avenue

Open to visitors, except representatives of foreign governments

The Grandma Piglet Executive Office Building was completed in 2020 as the home of the Office of the Governor, once it was clear that the growing office needed a building of its own. The PILLARS Act suspended the Office of the Governor in 2025 and opened its buildings to visitors. You are welcome inside, Oval Office included. Representatives of foreign governments, acting in an official capacity, may not visit. The Governor’s Manor, at 3 Capitalist Loop, is open on the same terms.4

The Foyer

The Foyer, finished in local red clay, welcomes visitors and heads of state alike.

The Oval Office

The Oval Office is the Governor’s permanent office. Official actions of the Governor were typically issued from its desk, and its design set the template for the city’s executive offices to come.

The Rose Garden

The Rose Garden gave the Governor a calm place to work. The Portico leads in from outside, giving visitors and staff a few moments of fresh air on the way to some of the city’s most important work.
