Mission

From N.P.C. 5 §2: Responsibilities of the Department:

The responsibilities of the Department are as follows, but may be expanded based on the needs of the City:

1. Environmental protection. One of the main jobs of the Department is to ensure that the growth of the City does not inhibit the thriving of the wilderness surrounding the City. This may include reservations, parks, protection programs, or whatever the Department deems necessary to meet this expectation.
2. Expectation of ethics. The Department is to hold each citizen to an equal expectation of ethics as pertaining to farming, livestock, and mining. (See Title 5-A; Title 5-B)
3. Expansion of the City. In the event that the New Philadelphia city limits become too restrictive and/or inhibit the growth of the development of the City, the Department is responsible to designate the updated city limits which respect all expectations of the City.
4. Historical preservation. The Department is to be responsible for the organization and maintenance of the New Philadelphia Historical Society. This Society is to be funded with the donated funds of the Department and the operation of which is defined under Title 5, Chapter 3.
